In an event in New Delhi, India, Truecaller has launched a new version of their app – Truecaller 8. The updated app comes with a bunch of new features like SMS Inbox, flash messaging, and Truecaller Pay. Apart from this, Truecaller also announced its partnership with Airtel to launch Airtel Truecaller ID.
The Truecaller 8 comes with updated ID that brings a useful feature like SMS Inbox that lets you see who’s messaging you and filter out spam messages. According to the company, the new smart SMS features automatically identifies and blocks unknown, spam and telemarketing SMSes as well as blocks SMS by name and number series.
Truecaller 8 for Android comes with flash messaging feature and it lets you send out pre-defined messages (including emojis) to any Truecaller user.
Truecaller 8 comes with Trucaller Pay and it lets you send or receive money securely over your smartphone. The payment feature was launched in partnership with ICICI Bank and users will be to create their own personal Virtual Payment Address (VPA) in the app, after which they can send and receive money using any UPI ID, or mobile number registered with the BHIM app. Additionally, this feature will be available for both ICICI and non-ICICI users.
Truecaller also announced a partnership with Airtel to launch Airtel Truecaller ID which lets Airtel non-data users that use feature phones receive Flash SMS of unknown numbers before they receive the call This allows features phone users to better avoid spam calls.

With all these announcements, Truecaller also launched their open platform with TrueSDK supporting iOS and the web. TrueSDK enables digital brands on onboard, authenticate and verify users on apps and services.
