Micromax has launched the company’s latest smartphone in the newly launched Dual series – Micromax Dual 5 in India at a price tag of Rs. 24,999. The smartphone comes in Gold color and available from April 10th on Flipkart, Micromax Store and offline stores across India. The smartphone comes with Micromax Care App which promises 24-hour service and has a 1-year replacement warranty. The main highlight of the smartphone is that it comes with the dual 13-megapixel rear camera, one with monochrome lens for capturing details while the other is RGB lens for capturing colors.
On the specifications front, the Micromax Dual 5 comes with 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and protected by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor which is paired with (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU & 4GB LPDDr3 of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has a 128GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, the Micromax Dual 5 comes with 13MP (monochrome) + 13MP (RGB) rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, Sony sensors, 4K video recording and 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, soft selfie flash, Sony sensor.
The smartphone packs 3200mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 that offers 4 hours of usage with just 10 minutes of charging. The smartphone also supports intelligent power saving mode and freezer mode which helps your phone work better without any lag.
The smartphone has unibody metal design and comes with 3D antenna technology. The smartphone come with the customizable key on the left side that lets you assign a function to it and the power button acts as a panic button.
The smartphone comes with the independent secure chip and it saves all the password on this chip. According to Micromax, the Dual 5 is the first smartphone that comes with such a feature. In addition to this, the smartphone also comes with SafeSwtich feature which means that it will prevent your data when your phone is lost.
