Panasonic has launched the company’s latest smartphone in the Eluga Ray series – Eluga Ray Max & Eluga Ray X in India. The Panasonic Eluga Ray Max comes in Rose Gold, Space Grey & Gold colors and costs Rs. 11,499 for the 32GB version and the 64GB version costs Rs. 12,499 while the Panasonic Eluga Ray X comes in Rose Gold, Space Grey, Gold and is priced at Rs. 8999. Both the smartphone available exclusively on Flipkart. The main highlight of both the smartphone is that they come with Arbo, it monitors user’s usage and offers assistant based on it. According to the company, the Arbo is derived from Esperanto and it means a framework that supports climbing plants. The Arbo will be available for the phones by the end of April.
The Virtual assistant is a self-learning technology that understands the user behavior and then maps their daily activities for them accordingly. With its ‘location identification’ feature it recognizes the places often visited by the user and sends out prompt responses asking them to make changes to their phone settings. The AI-powered assistant takes care of all the daily tasks and activities like calls and messages that need to be framed and sent out on a regular basis. It also keeps a detailed list of all the applications functioning on the smartphone, gathers detailed information on their habits and informs them about it accordingly.
Panasonic Eluga Ray Max Specifications
The Panasonic Eluga Ray Max features 5.2-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor which is paired with Adreno 505 GPU & 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and it has 32GB/64GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, the Panasonic Eluga Ray Max features 16MP rear camera with LED flash and 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash.
The smartphone comes with dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB OTG.
The smartphone has unibody metal design and the fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.
The smartphone measures 148 x 73 x 9.5mm and weighs 165g.
The smartphone packs 3000mAh built-in battery with Quick Charge 3.0.

On the specifications front, the Panasonic Eluga Ray X features 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU & 3GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with 32GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded further up to 64GB via microSD.
On the photography front, the Panasonic Eluga Ray X features 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and 5MP front-facing camera with LED Flash for selfie & video-calling.
The smartphone has dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

At such a price tag, both the smartphone will compete with Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo Z2 Plus, Moto G5 Plus, Coolpad Cool 1 Dual and few others. With Arbo, Panasonic smartphones have edge over all these smartphones.
