In an event in New York City, Microsoft has announced the company’s latest smartphone – Microsoft Lumia 950 XL at a price tag of US $649. It comes in Black & White colours and will go on sale in November only in selected markets. There is dual SIM variant too, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Dual SIM.
On the specifications front, it features 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED ClearBlack display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at 518 ppi and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor which is paired with Adreno 430 GPU & 3GB of RAM. It runs on Windows 10 operating system & has 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 260GB by using microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 20-megapixel PureView camera with OIS, tripe RGB flash, 4K video-recording and 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has connectivity features like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C 3.1.
It packs 3340mAh removable battery with fast charging and you can charge the phone up to 50% in just 30 minutes. It also uses liquid cooling technology to cool down the phone.
You can also connect the phone to a Microsoft Display Dock and use it with an external monitor, a keyboard and a mouse for a PC-like experience.
