At an event in New York City, Microsoft has announced the company’s latest smartphone – Microsoft Lumia 950 at a price tag of US $549. It will go on sale in selected markets in November and comes in Black & White colours. There is a dual SIM variant too.
On the specifications front, it features 5.2-inch QHD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels at 564 ppi and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 processor which is paired with Adreno 418 & 3GB of RAM. It runs on Windows 10 operating system and has 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 200GB by microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 20-megapixel autofocus rear camera with ZEISS optics, with 5th Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), triple LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
It comes in two variant – Microsoft Lumia 950 and Microsoft Lumia 950 Dual SIM variant. Both the smartphone has connectivity features like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C.
It packs 3000mAh removable battery and comes with fast charging capabilities that charge your phone up to 50% in just 30 minutes. It also uses liquid cooling technology to cool down the phone.
