In an event in New York, Microsoft has announced the company’s latest budget smartphone – Microsoft Lumia 550 at a price tag of US $139. It comes in White & Black colour and will go on sale in selected European markets in December. There is a dual-SIM variant too – Microsoft Lumia 550 Dual SIM.
On the specifications front, it features 4.7-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Windows 10 operating system and has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 200GB by using microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 5-megapixel auto-focus rear-camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has connectivity features like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS / aGPS.
It packs 2100mAh removable battery.
