Earlier in an event in China in November, Huawei announced the company’s latest flagship smartphone – Huawei Mate 8. Now today, the company has announced the same smartphone at the CES 2016 at a starting price tag of 599 Euros (US $643. It comes in two variants, 3GB RAM its 32GB in-built memory costs 599 Euros (US S643) and other variant 4GB RAM with 64GB in-built memory costs 699 Euros (US $750). It comes in Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, Space Gray & Mocha Brown colours and it will be available in 30 countries including Spain, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates, Mexico and Australia.
On the specifications front, it features 6-inch Full HD 2.5D glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it has 95% wide colour gamut. It is powered by Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 950 processor which is paired with Mali T880 GPU & runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Emotion UI 4.0 on top of it. It has 3GB RAM with 32GB in-built memory or 4GB RAM with 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further by using microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 16MP rear-camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, PDAF, OIS, dual-tone LED flash and 8MP front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has hybrid dual-SIM card slot and connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC.
It packs 4000mAh battery.
The body of Huawei Mate 8 is made up of aerospace-grade aluminum and it is has circular fingerprint sensor at the back for better identification.
