At CES 2016, Huawei has announced the same smartphone in the G series that was launched at IFA last year – Huawei GX8 at a price tag of US $349.99. It comes in Gold, Gray and Silver colour and it will be available at BestBuy.com, selected Best Buy stores, GetHuawei.com & Amazon.com. The smartphone will be available sometime in Q1 2016, there is no exact availability. It’s a all-metal uni-body smartphone and comes with fingerprint sensor 2.0 on the back.
On the specifications front, it features 5.5-inch Full HD curved 2.5D glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor which is paired with Adreno 405 GPU & 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it and has 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 13MP rear-camera with dual-tone LED flash, OIS and 5MPf front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has connectivity features like 4G LTE /3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS.
It packs 3000mAh battery.
