In an event in New Delhi, Canon India has launched the company’s first mirrorless camera in EOS series with 4K video recording capabilities – Canon EOS M50 at a price tag of Rs. 61,995. The camera comes in Black & White colors and it will be available across India in the single kit which is coupled with EF-M15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens. Originally, it was unveiled in February in the U.S., and it was designed for single-handed operation with buttons & dials located on the right side of the camera, ensuring that users can easily adjust the settings while looking through the electronic viewfinder.
The Canon EOS M50 is powered by DIGIC 8 Image processor which is coupled with 24.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor. The DIGIC 8 Image Processor ensures better picture quality and comes with 4K video shooting capability. It will also shoot HD high frame rate video at 120 fps while the sensor produces less noise & high definition in low-light situations. With Canon EOS M50 you can shoot 4k videos and according to company claims the 4K video shooting is enhanced with the presence of five-axis image stabilization feature.
The Canon EOS M50 comes with silent mode and features a Vari-Angle LCD touchscreen. It also has a built-in OLED electronic ViewFinder with touch and drags autofocus. The Canon EOS M50 equipped with an improved “Dual Pixel CMOS AF” and it is said to cover a larger surface area with 143 autofocus points, and it is capable of continuous shooting at up to 10fps in one-shot AF & 7.4fps in Servo AF. The Canon EOS M50 has an expanded ISO range of up to 51200.
Canon EOS M50 comes with connectivity features like Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth for automatic image transfer to smart devices. The camera supports iOS and Android OS as of now.
