In an event in China, Xiaomi has announced the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series – Xiaomi Redmi Pro at a starting price tag of 1499 Yuan. It comes in Gold, Silver & Gray colours and it will be available for order starting from August 6, 2016 in China. It comes in three variants – standard 2.1Ghz Helio X20 processor with 3GB RAM, 32GB in-built memory costs 1499 Yuan while the high end variant 2.3GHz Helio X25 processor with 3GB RAM, 64GB in-built memory costs 1699 Yuan and the premium variant with 2.5GHz Helio X25 processor with 4GB RAM, 128GB memory costs 1999 Yuan.
On the specifications front, it features 5.5-inch Full HD OLED 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels It is powered by deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 / X25 processor and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MIUI 8.0 on top of it. It has 3GB RAM/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB in-built memory which can be expanded further via microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 13-megapixel rear-camera with dual-tone flash and 5-megapixel secondary camera for achieving depth of field & real-time background blur. It has 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
