Xiaomi has launched the – Mi Band 2 in India at a price tag of Rs. 1,999. It is the second-generation fitness & sleep tracker in the Mi Band lineup in India. It comes in Black, Blue, Green & Orange colour. It will go on sale on mi.com from September 27 at 12:00 P.M. and later on available on Amazon.in from September 30th. Originally, the Mi Band 2 was launched in China and it is the successor of Mi Band that was launched in 2014.
It features 0.42-inch OLED display which shows time, steps & also heart rate by tapping the button below the display or you can also set it to show time or steps when you lift the band. It vibrates to alert users about incoming calls, alarms and notifications. The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 compatible with devices running Android 4.4 KItKat and above as well as iOS 7.0 & above.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE for pairing and it comes with 40.3mm length, width of 15.7mm & a side width of 10.5mm. It weighs 7 grams. The device is water resistant with IP67 certification.
The bands are now made up of hypoallergic silicone, which allows one to take the band for a swim or even a shower. In addition to this, Xiaomi used the military-grade materials, which the company claims help make the sensor resistant to scratches and fingerprints.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 features an ADI accelerometer, an upgraded pedometer algorithm for more accurate heart rate tracking & gathering bettering fitness and sleep data.
The Mi Band 2 packs 70mAh battery and according to company claims it offers up to 20 days of standby time.
