Sony has announced the Xperia Z1F (aka Xperia Z1 mini) smartphone at an DoCoMo event in Japan. Sony Xperia Z1F have the more comfortable size of the flagship Xperia Z1 smartphone, packs a 4.3-inch 720P display. Xperia Z1F smartphone will be available only for the Japanese market for now.
Following the launch of its Xperia Z1 flagship smartphone earlier this year, Sony has decided to follow the trend of introducing mini versions of flagship big brothers. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini or HTC One Mini, which were less powerful versions of their big brothers, the Xperia Z1F doesn’t vary too far away from its big brother Xperia Z1. The Xperia Z1 Mini is packing power similar to flagship Z1 smartphone.

Sony Xperia Z1F features a 4.3-inch 720P HD display, powerful quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, NFC, Qi wireless charging, and 2300mAh battery and dust and water resistance. It pack a 20.1-megapixel “G Lens” camera and the device run on Android 4.2 OS with Sony’s custom skin thrown on top. Physical measurement of the device is 65×127×9.4mm and it’s weighing 140g. Sony Xperia Z1F will be available in four colours: lime, black, white, and pink.
DoCoMo and Sony don’t have plans to release the device until December and also we don’t have any information for Sony’s worldwide plans with this device. As of now, Xperia Z1F smartphone will be available only for the Japanese market.
