Samsung has launched the LTE-A variant of the Galaxy S5 – Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+ in Singapore. It is available in Copper Gold, Charcoal Black, Shimmery White and Electric Blue colours and would go on sale in Singapore from 23rd August 2014. It comes in a range of plans from SG$ 0 to SG$ 688 on SingTel.
On the specifications front, it features a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x1920 pixels and powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and has LTE-A support up to 300Mbps. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the imaging front, it has 16-megapixel rear-camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera for selfie and video calling.
It has connectivity features like LTE-A support up to 300Mbps, NFC, USB 3.0.
It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with TouchWiz UI on top and packs 2,800mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+ sports other features like fingerprint and heart rate sensors, IR sensor blaster. The device is water and dust resistant with IP67 certification. It also comes preloaded with features such as Ultra Power Saving Mode, Kids Mode, S Health, and Private Mode.
