Samsung has launched the company’s latest smartphone – Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in India at a price tag of Rs. 58,300. It comes in frosted white, charcoal black, bronze gold and blossom pink colour options.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Asim Warsi, VP, Mobile & IT, Samsung India said,

The new device exhibits people inspired innovation with its unique combination of an enhanced S Pen, large and vivid display and superior productivity features to provide the most refined Galaxy experience to our customers.”
On the specifications front, it features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels at a pixel density of 512ppi and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor which clocks at 2.5GHz Krait 450 CPU and it is paired with Adreno 420 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and comes in different memory options 16GB/32GB/64GB and the in-built memory can be expanded further up to 128GB using microSD card. In addition to this, there is an EXYNOS variant as well, it packs an Octa-Core processor with four Cortex-A57 clocks at 1.9GHz and four Cortex-A53 clocks at 1.3GHz and it is paired with Mali-T760 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM.
The only difference between the two variants is that, the Snapdragon variant offers LTE Cat.6 (300Mbps) connectivity whereas the EXYNOS variant offers LTE Cat.4 (150Mbps) connectivity.
On the imaging front, it is equipped with 16-megapixel Sony IMX240 camera sensor with optical image stabilization and dual LED flash. The rear-camera is capable of capturing 4K UHD videos at 30fps. On the front, it has 3.7-megapixel camera which is capable of shooting images & videos in WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels).
The Note 4 measures 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5mm and weighs about 176 grams.
It has connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hostspot, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS with GLONASS and 4G LTE support.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with the latest version of the TouchWiz UI on top and packs 3,220mAh battery which lasts entire day without any hassle.
It features a fingerprint scanner as that we saw in Samsung Galaxy S5 but with expanded functionality. Samsung managed to retain heart-rate monitor and functionality remains similar to the Galaxy S5 smartphone. There are more features like, screen lock, private mode authentication, Samsung and PayPal account verification. In addition to this, you can also web sign-in via the fingerprint sensor. Samsung has redesigned the S Pen stylus and offers better grip.
As a promotional offer, Vodafone is offering up to 2GB of data per month for subscribers who’re not active on data packs. Subscribers with active data packs will get up to 1GB per month for two months. This offer will be activated in 48 hours on Vodafone SIM inserted in Galaxy Note 4 before 30th April 2015.
