The MiFi WD670 4G LTE pocket router from Reliance Communications has listed on its e-store and the price is Rs. 3,199. The company is offering a discount of Rs. 500 and after the discount, it is available at a price tag of Rs. 2,699. The listing shows that the shipments of the device will start from May 25 and the company will also offer free home delivery.
The MiFi router comes with a built-in battery and sports a microSD card slot which can be expanded further upto 32GB. It supports all three bands on which Reliance Jio and RCOM plan to operate their LTE services – 3, 5 and 40. The listing shows that device is capable of delivering downlink speeds of up to 150 Mbps and uplink speeds of up to 50 Mbps through multi carrier aggregation. The single device can support up to 31 simultaneous users.
It measures 95 x 57x 16mm and weighs 80 grams.
The Reliance MiFi device also has a built in battery of 2300mAh which the company claims to offer a backup time of around 5-6 hours.
As per reports Rcom is migrating its existing CDMA subscribers to its 4G network in association with Jio. The operator currently has around 5 million CDMA subscribers including those using EvDO data cards and fixed wireless phones. The 4G wifi router can only be used to replace an existing CDMA dongle.
