In an event in China, Meizu has announced the company’s latest smartphone – Meizu m3 at a starting price tag of 599 Yuan. It comes in Gold, White, Grey, Blue and Pink colours and will be available for order from the official store & the shipping starts from April 29th. There are no details on the global roll out. The Meizu m3 comes in two variant – 2GB RAM with 16GB in-built memory costs 599 Yuan (US $92) while the other variant 3GB RAM with 32GB in-built memory costs 799 Yuan (US $122).
On the specifications front, it features 5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek processor which is paired with Mali T860 GPU. It runs on YunOS with FlyMe 5.1 on top of it and the in-built memory can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 13MP rear-camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and 5MP front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has hybrid SIM slot by which the second slot can be used as a microSD card slot when required. it comes with connectivity features like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS.
It packs 2870mAh battery.
It has a poly-carbonate body and lacks a fingerprint sensor.
