Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for mobile hub in Triupati and it will the be the country’s first mobile manufacturing electronics cluster. The foundation stone is accompanied by Union Ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, Ashok Ganapathi Raju and Nirmala Sitaraman, Governor ESL Narasimhan and Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu.
Modi laid the foundation stone for Shri Venkateswara Mobile & Electronics Manufacturing Hub and the Hub is expected to create more than 10,000 jobs within a year and contribute at least 5 per cent of all-India target of 15 lakh jobs by the year 2019.
If you do not know, Foxconn has already started operation in Andhra Pradesh for manufacturing brand such as Xiaomi and Gionee. The important brand like Micromax, UTL (Karbonn) and Celkon would be starting their manufacturing operations soon.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Y Guru Chairman and managing director Celkon mobiles said:
“We will hire 60% women for assembling lines to empower rural women. This mobile manufacturing hub will generate 45000 direct and indirect employment by 2019 and employment for 10000- 12000 people within one year.”
Celkon mobile Chairman and managing director Mr. Y Guru had an interaction with Honorable Prime Minister Modi and told they kept a target to start production from this plant within six months from now and tablet PC’s are going to be the first products to be made in this facility
