Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched the company’s latest flagship smartphone – Find 7 in India at an initial price tag of INR 37,990 and it is available in the Indian market from early July. It comes in midnight black and white colors. Oppo plans to launch 10 smartphones priced between INR 10,000 and INR 40,000 in India by the end of this year. Oppo Find 7 is the first smartphone in the Indian market that offers Quad-HD (QHD or 2K) display panel another smartphone with QHD display is LG G3, that will be announced next month.
On the specifications front, it features 5.5-inch screen with resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels at 538ppi pixel density and it is protected by gorilla glass version 3. It is powered by 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor with Adreno 330 GPU and runs on customized Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with Color OS 1.2 on top. In has 3GB RAM and 32GB in-built memory which can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the imaging front, it sports a 13MP Sony EXMOR IMX214 sensor rear-camera with 6-element lens and f/2.0 aperture. It has LED flash and uses software enhancements to capture images at 50MP (6,120 x 8,160 pixels) resolution. It has 5MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The camera is also capable of shooting AW images and has 4K video recording. It can also record 720p videos at 120k,’ fps for slow motion.
It packs 3,000mAh battery with VOCC fast charging technology and according to company claims, it can charge up to 75% in 30 minutes thanks to the Rapid Charge technology. It has usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPA, USB OTG (on-the-go), 3G and 4G LTE.
The Chinese manufacturer says that users can operate the phone with wet hands without any risk of water damage. The phone features a notification strip at the bottom, where it displays incoming calls as well as unread SMS’s and emails.
