OPPO has launched the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone under it’s A-series – OPPO A57 in India at a price tag of Rs. 14,990. The OPPO A57 comes in Gold colour and the smartphone will be available from offline stores as well as via online retailers such as Flipkart, Amazon.in and Snapdeal starting from February 3rd, 2017. Originally, the OPPO A57 was introduced in China back in November last year.
Commenting on the launch, Sky Li, OPPO VP and Managing Director of International Mobile Business, said:
“When we saw the demand for the great 16 MP selfie camera on the F1s, we set out to bring that experience to an even wider range of users. The A57 brings consumers premium photography and advanced features, like the industry-leading fingerprint reader, that goes well beyond the conventional boundaries for this price segment.”
On the specifications front, the OPPO A57 features 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The OPPO A57 is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor which is paired with Adreno 505 GPU & 3GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with ColorOS 3.0 on top of it and it has 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, the OPPO A57 features 13MP rear-camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF, LED Flash and 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel, 5P lens for selfie & video-calling.
The OPPO A57 has dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.
It measures 149.1×72.9×7.65mm and weighs in at 147 grams. The OPPO A57 has a metal unibody design and fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button with hydrophobic zirconium surface, so it works even when your fingers are moist.
The OPPO A57 packs 2900mAh battery.
At such a price tag, the OPPO A57 will compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Motorola Moto G4 Plus and much more.
