Gionee has launched the company’s latest smartphone in F-series – Gionee F5 in China at a price tag of Rs. 1799 Yuan. The smartphone comes in Gold & Rose color and there is no word on the availability as of now. As a promotional offer, the company offering freebies like selfie stick & USB light for customers in China.
On the specification front, the Gionee F5 comes with 5.3-inch HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by 1.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 64-bit processor which is paired with Mali-T860 GPU & 4GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Amigo UI 3.2 on top of it and it has 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, the Gionee F5 comes with a 13MP auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash and 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
The Gionee F5 comes with Hybrid Dual-SIM card support and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.
The Gionee F5 has a unibody metal design and comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. The fingerprint sensor can also be used for authenticating payments on WeChat and AliPay.
The Gionee F5 packs 4000mAh battery which claims to deliver up to nine hours of talk-time and up to 28 hours of music playback.
If the smartphone is launched in India, the Gionee F5 will compete against ZTE Blade A2 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Nubia N1 & Lenovo K6 Power.
