Motorola has announced the latest flagship smartphone in the DROID series – Motorola DROID Turbo for Verizon Wireless in the U.S. It will be available from October 30th at a price tag of $199 for 32GB, $249 for 64GB and $24.99/month on contract for 24 months. The 32GB version come in Metallic Black, Metallic Red & Ballistic Nylon while the 64GB version comes in Ballistic Nylon version. Full retail price of the smartphone is $599.99. It comes in Special edition black Ballistic Nylon with a light weight, high-strength aluminum design, Metallic Red, Metallic Black color variants have metalized glass fiber with a high-strength aluminum and Dupont Kevlar® back cover.
On the specifications front, it features 5.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor which is paired with 600 MHz Adreno 420 GPU & 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and has 32GB/64GB in-built memory.
On the imaging front, it features 21-megapixel rear-camera with dual LED flash, 4K video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
It has connectivity features like 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11a/g/b/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS, NFC.
