Earlier Micromax launched the Unite 2 A106 in India at a price tag of INR 6,999 and touted as the competitor to Motorola Moto E, both smartphone ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Now, another smartphone from Micromax – Micromax Canvas Engage A091 that ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat surfaces online on eBay at a price tag of INR 6,199 and it is expected to be more cheaper than the Micromax Unite 2 A106 (there is no word on official pricing yet). We expect that Micromax could launched the smartphone soon and Micromax trying hard to bring down the sales of recent Motorola Moto E smartphone.
The image of the retail box appeared online which clearly shows the name, Android version and the pricing of the smartphone. Micromax is on a roll to release Android KitKat powered smartphone in India as none of their smartphones released with Android Jelly Bean have not been updated to Android KitKat yet, even though their high-end smartphones are not updated to Android KitKat.
On the specifications front, it features a 4-inch WVGA display with 480 x 800 pixels, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor which is coupled with 512MB RAM. It has 4GB of in-built storage which can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD card slot.
On the imaging front, it has 5MP rear-camera and 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. It has dual-SIM support, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS on the smartphone. It is fuelled with 1500mAh battery and lasts up to talk time of 5.5 hours & standby time of 200 hours.
Micromax Canvas Engage supports HD playback, recording and comes with preloaded games like Burn the Rope, Smash it, Marbles as well as apps like KingSoft Office, Getit, Opera Mini, M!Live, Hike, Mi-Games, Games Club, Reverie phonebook & Smartpad.
