Meizu has finally announced the company’s latest flagship smartphone – MX4 and comes in Grey, White and Gold colours. The price range starts from 1799 CYN (Rs. 17,720/US $290 approx.), 1999 CYN (Rs.19,690/US $325 approx.) and 2399 CYN (Rs. 23,640/ US $390 approx.) for the 16, 32 and 64GB variants. Pre-bookings started and it would go on sale in China on September 20th. The shell is made up of aluminum-magnesium alloy and looks like a lot more similar when compared with upcoming iPhone 6.
On the specifications front, it features a 5.36-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1152 x 1920 and it has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek MT6595 processor (4 Cortex A17 cores at 2.2GHz + 4 Cortex A7 cores at 1.7GHz) which is paired PowerVR G6200 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM and has in-built storage of 16GB/32GB/64GB.
On the imaging front, it features 20.7-megapixel rear-camera with dual tone LED flash, 1/2.3” Sony IMX 220 EXMOR RS Sensor, pixel size of 1.2 microns, two dedicated ISPs for 0.3 second focus speed, 20 second long exposure and 4K video recording. The lens is itself protected by Gorilla Glass 3. There is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Sony Sensor which is capable of recording 1080p videos.
It has connectivity features like Cat.4 LTE, 3G with HSPA, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, plus support for all GPS-like global positioning systems.
It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Meizu’s Flyme 4.0 OS on top and packs 3,100mAh Sony battery unit.
Meizu is also offers 40TB of cloud storage with the handset.
