In an event in China, Meizu has launched the company’s latest smartphone in the E-series – Meizu M3E at a price tag of 1299 Yuan (US $195). It comes in Gold, Silver, Gray, Glacial Blue & Champagne Gold colors and it will be available for order starting from today in China & goes on sale from August 14th. There is no word on the availability of the smartphone outside China.
On the specifications front, it features 5.5-inch LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 450 nits brightness & 1000:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor which is paired with Mali T860 GPU & 3GB RAM. It runs on YunOS with Flyme UI on top and it has 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, it features 13-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for fast focus in just 0.2 seconds, Sony IMX258 sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has Hybrid dual-SIM card slot and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.
It packs 3100mAh non-removable battery with support for mCharge fast charing which can charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes using 18W charger. Above all, Meizu claims that the battery is good enough to last for more than a day.
The smartphone comes with unibody aluminium body and it has mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button which can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.
