Reliance Digital has launched the company’s latest smartphone in the F-series – LYF F8 in India at a price tag of Rs. 4,199. It comes in Blue & Black colours and available through retail stores across the country. The smartphone comes with swift gesture control features allowing users to open the camera app, control music player and access apps without unlocking the lockscreen. Gestures can be assigned as c, e, o, w to four apps. Other gestures include flip to mute and double tap to wake. At such a price tag, the smartphone will compete with Micromax Canvas Spark 4G, Xolo Era 4G and others.
On the specifications front, the LYF F8 features 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and it is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor which is paired with Adreno 304 GPU & 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and it has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB.
On the photography front, the LYF F8 features 8MP auto-focus rear-camera with LED flash and 5MP front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
The Lyf F8 measures 132.6×66.2×9.3mm and weighs 138 grams.
It packs 2000mAh battery which offers up to 8 hours of talktime, 5 hours of HD video playback, audio playback of 28 hours and standby time of 160 hours.
