LG is all set to launch its latest flagship smartphone LG G2 in India on September 30. The handset was globally unveiled last month at IFA. LG has sent out press invites to the Indian media for the September 30 launch event to announce “LG’s revolutionary new smartphone”. LG G2 sports very interesting hardware design, instead of Power/Lock and volume keys on the sides or top, this phone has them on the back panel, just below the camera module. The rear key is the only physical key on the LG G2.
The LG G2 features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display (423 ppi), an edge to edge screen with almost zero bezel on the sides. The handset is powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor paired with 2GB RAM and a dedicated Graphics RAM, which LG claims reduces the display’s battery by up to 26 percent. The LG G2 is packed with a 3000 mAh battery.
The phone has a 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization built in and a 2.1 megapixel front camera. The phone comes pre-loaded with Android 4.2.2 operating system. For connectivity, it comes with 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, infrared and microUSB 2.0. The handset also features 24 bit/192kHz Hi-Fi playback that reproduces studio-like quality sound, far superior to a CD. LG releases multiple promo videos of LG G2 smartphone to describe it’s coolest features.
The phone will be available in two variants – 16GB and 32GB paired with a micro SD card slot. It will come in two colours – black and white. LG is expected to price G2 between Rs 40,000-45,000 in the market. LG’s latest flagship smartphone G2 competes with handsets like HTC One, Apple iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z.
