Huawei has announced the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the P series – Huawei P8 at a price tag of 499 Euros (US $534) for a standard version and the premium version costs 599 Euros (US $641). It comes in Mystic Champagne, Prestige Gold, Titanium Grey & Carbon Black colours and it will be available in 30 countries within a month.

On the specifications front, it features 5-inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it has 78.3% screen-to-body ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and it is powered by Octa-Core Hisilicon Kirin 930/935 processor which is paired with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Huawei own Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it and it has 16Gb in-built memory which can be expanded further by using microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 13-megapixel rear-camera with OIS, dual-tone flash and 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It had dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 4G LTE (Cat 6) / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and NFC.
It packs 2680mAh battery.
It is a unibody aluminum build and has triple-layer shark-gill design for reliability & robustness of the device. It is 6.4mm thin and has optional 4.3-inch E-ink display cover which can be attached to the back of the phone. It has several touch screen gestures, Double-tapping a knuckle captures a full-length screen shot and drawing a circle on the screen quickly captures content. It has search phone by voice function that allows users to call out to their misplaced smartphone, which will respond through its speaker to identify. It also has super hands-free functionality that supports hands-free speaker calls within a radius range of 2 meters.
