HTC has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update with Sense 5 UI for the HTC One X handset. HTC is very quick in launching OS updates for its Android smartphones. Just the week before, the company issued the Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One X+. The update for HTC One X brings some important enhancements and bug fixes.
For now, only the unlocked European version of the smartphones are receiving Android 4.2.2 OTA update, but the rest of the One X owners should get it in the coming weeks. So far, according to androidcentral, the update is hitting Nordic countries and parts of Eastern Europe first, including Slovakia and Denmark.
Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One X brings the software version of the device to 4.18.401.2. The OS update with Sense 5 UI for One X is of the size 380 MB.
With Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5 UI, the HTC One X gets features like BlinkFeed home screen experience, the new Gallery and Camera apps, Quick settings panel, and automatic video highlights. There’s also auto exposure and autofocus lock available in the camera app. The update also brings access to 12 different settings with a single swipe and the music app enjoys the got visualization with live lyrics.
For now, only the unlocked European version of the smartphone is getting Android 4.2.2 update OTA with Sense 5 UI, the update should be available globally in coming days for the rest of the One X owners.
