Sony has launched its first low-storage model of the gaming console PS3 in the US and Canada. Sony’s flash-based 12GB PlayStation 3 is priced at $199.99 and is available through Best Buy, and at Canadian retailer Future Shop. 12 GB PS3 is also available from Sony’s US online store.
The low-storage PlayStation 3 was released in Europe last year, and now Sony has decided to expand the market for its memory-challenged gaming console. The 12GB model of PlayStation 3 uses flash drive, it supports adding additional storage through USB.
The 12 GB PS3 has been introduced only in North America now but will be available internationally for some time.
