HTC has announced the HTC One mini smartphone. One mini is the compact version of its flagship smartphone, the HTC One. The One mini smartphone features the same design as the HTC One does, and shares many of its features with its big brother, HTC One. That includes the same HTC BoomSound technology, complete with dual frontal stereo speakers.
HTC One mini features a 4.3-inch S-LCD3 display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and pixel density of 341ppi and is protected from scratches by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with 1.4GHz dual-core Krait 300 CPU, Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage, there isn’t a microSD card slot for expanding it.
The HTC One mini will come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, running Sense 5.0 UI layer on top. The phone also features HTC’s BlinkFeed and Beats Audio technology as well.
It features the same excellent 4MP UltraPixel camera in the back found on the HTC One, but no optical image stabilization. It also features HTC Zoe, HTC’s ImageChip 2 and a BSI sensor of 1/3″ size. The phone offers a 1.6-megapixel front facing camera.
The Phone is significantly lighter and thinner than the One. Measuring 132 x 63.2 x 9.25 the HTC One mini weighs 122 grams. It’s powered by an 1800mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery. The Phone offers LTE connectivity.
The HTC One mini will be available in Glacial Silver and Stealth Black colors in select markets sometime in August. Global rollout and availability will begin from September. There’s no official word yet on pricing or availability of the HTC One mini in the Indian market.
