Earlier HTC launched the company’s latest smartphone – HTC Desire EYE and now quietly launched the updated version of the new HTC One – HTC One (M8 EYE). HTC has swapped the 4 UltraPixel camera from the original M8 to a new 13MP camera from the Desire EYE but retains the second depth sensor. It comes in Gunmetal Gray and Glacial Silver colors and priced at 3999 Yuan. It is available for pre-order in China and is would go on sale in the country in October 15th. No word on the global roll out yet.
On the specifications front, it features 5.0-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor which is paired with Adreno 330 GPU & 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 UI on top and has 16GB of in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB.
On the imaging front, it features 13MP primary rear-camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.0, 28mm lens and secondary rear-camera to capture the depth information. It has 5MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor, 1080p Full HD video recording.
It measures 146.3 x 70.6 x 9.35mm and weighs 160 grams.
On the connectivity front, it features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec and GPS with GLONASS.
