HTC in an event in New Delhi, India has launched the company’s latest smartphone in the HTC One series – HTC One E8 at an initial price tag of INR 34,990. It will be available in India by the end of this month and comes in Electric Crimson, Polar White, Misty Gray and Maldives Blue. The HTC One E8 has polycarbonate body instead of the aluminium finish like the HTC One (M8).
Commenting on the launch, Jack Yang, President, HTC South Asia said,

On the specifications front, it features a 5-inch Full HD display with resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at 441 ppi, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and it is powered by 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor which is paired with Adreno 330 GPU & 2GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6.0 UI on top and has 8GB internal memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB. It has dual front-facing stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers and HTC BoomSound technology.
On the imaging front, it has 13MP rear-camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and a single-LED flash and 5MP camera on the front.
On the connectivity front, there’s a dual SIM connectivity with one of the SIM slots supporting 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS.
It packs 2,600mAh battery and the company claims is good enough for 20 hours of talktime and 496 hours on standby mode. Additionally, there is a also a power saving mode, which shuts down all but the bare essential apps and services. This helps stretch the battery life to up to two weeks.
