Huawei under its Honor brand has launched the company’s latest flagship smartphone – Honor 8 smartphone in India for Rs. 29,999. The main highlight of the Honor 8 is that, it features 12-megapixel dual-camera setup at the back. The Honor 8 uses an RGB (colour) and a monochrome sensor to get crisper and detailed photos. The Honor 8 doesn’t have any direct competition with dual camera in the price range but it will compete with Lenovo Z2 Plus in terms of specifications. The RGB sensor captures rich colours whereas the monochrome sensor captures more light with increased sharpness. Both cameras work together to capture detailed photos. Honor has also added professional shooting mode to give users advance controls to adjust shutter speed, exposure compensation, white balance, ISO and more. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash which allows you to take brighter photos in low-light. It doesn’t have optical image stabilization.
The Lenovo Z2 Plus comes with 13-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.2 with LED flash, PDAF and electronic image stabilization (EIS). It supports 4K video recording, slow motion video recording and time-lapse videos. On the front, there 8-megapixel selfie camera of aperture f/2.0, 78.9-degree wide viewing angle.
Reason to choose: The Honor 8 has better camera when compared to Lenovo Z2 Plus but many features like 4K video recording, raw photo capture is not available in Honor 8. Above all, I don’t think that anyone should spend Rs. 10,000 more on buying smartphone just for getting a better camera on smartphone.

The Lenovo Z2 Plus comes with connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB 2.0 Type-C. The thing you will see that, the Honor 8 doesn’t support 4G VoLTE. In addition to this, the Honor 8 is a single SIM smartphone while the Lenovo Z2 Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone.
