Google India has launched the new app – Delhi Public Transport Offline and it is available for download on Google Play Store. It’s a unique app which is specifically launched for Delhi residents and it provides information around public transport. This app help users to get transit directions pretty easily & that too when the connection is slow or without need of internet connection.
The app will search for Delhi Metro and bus directions & timetable without any need of internet connection. Above all, it also notify you about Delhi Metro and bus transit news & delays through the app but this feature need active internet connection. The free app supports DMRC Metro station, DTC buses, Gurgaon Rapid Metro as well as DIMTS Orange buses.
The app kept simple so that it can easily run easily on even budget smartphone with low resolution. Google also mentioned on the Play Store that, it is an experimental app and users can also give feedback, features may change quickly based on the usage & feedback from users. The app also includes a “share” button, which will generate a link that can be sent to friends via e.g. WhatsApp – through which the app can be downloaded directly even without a Google Play Store account. The app is super light and weighs just 1MB.
