Earlier Gionee has announced the Gionee S5.5 in an event in Goa, India and now today it is available on Gionee Estore at a price tag of INR 22,999. It is available in Black, White, Blue, Pink, and Purple colour and it is the slimmest phone, a mere 5.55mm slim body. It is made of premium metal & glass and features 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED touch screen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. Gionee S5.5 comes with 16GB internal storage and doesn’t include a microSD card slot. Gionee Elife S5.5 comes with a 13 MP auto focus rear camera with stacked Sony sensor and LED flash. It also sports a a 5MP 95 degree ultra-wide angle front-facing camera.
Gionee Elife S5.5 is a single-sim phone, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Gionee’s Amigo UI running on top. It packs a 2,300mAh battery. On the connectivity side it includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Other than the lack of an expandable memory card slot and the older Android version, Gionee Elife S5.5 definitely bosts of some great power under that slim and sleek body.
