Gionee has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Gionee Elife S5.5 which is advertised as the world’s slimmest smartphone. The update is 865MB and update your smartphone from Android 4.2 to Android 4.4 KitKat & some pre-loaded apps. Apart from Android 4.4 update, this also brings a new layout, update for Amigo Paper and Game Zone with a new UI, updated GioneeXender app and more. In addition to this, it includes Android 4.4 KitKat specific goodies like cloud-print support, immersive mode, performance enhancements, support for emojis and more.

You will get a new desktop layout and enhanced NQ Security. Gionee has also added Du Speed Booster which acts like a task killer to remove stuff and data which slows down your phone or consume more resources. The update will also remove some World Cricket Champion and Real Football game. Gionee has added a new Notification panel and adds brightness bar at the bottom.
