When it comes to the smartphone market in India, it is very much crowded as there are a lot of companies battling between price vs specification war. Apart from this, the Chinese manufacture trying had to dominate the Indian market and thrust out all competition. Keeping this in mind, we decided to compare CENTRiC A1 and Vivo V5s smartphone to find out where they individually stand.

The CENTRiC A1 cost Rs. 9,999 and it will be available on company’s official website and it comes in Classic White Gold, Energetic Black Grey, and Vibrant Gold colors.
The Vivo V5s cost Rs. 18,990 and it is already available in e-commerce websites & offline retail stores. The smartphone comes in Crown Gold and Matte Black colors.

Display and Design
The CENTRiC A1 features 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and comes with a 2.5D curved dragontrail glass protection.
The Vivo V5s features 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is further protected with 2.5D curved glass on top. It’s sad to see Vivo is using an HD panel on a Rs. 18,990 smartphone, even the smartphone under Rs. 10,000 come with Full HD panels these days.
The centric A1 evidently stands out as it delivers a higher display resolution at the same size. The display is one of the strongest suits of CENTRIC A1 and it offers Punchy colors, high contrast, and sharp full HD resolution which ensures a pleasant experience. The Vivo V5s lags behind with 5.5-inch HD 720p display, and when compared the CENTRiC A1 has a clear edge.
Both the smartphone boasts metal unibody design and fingerprint sensor placed on the back side in CENTRiC A1 while in Vivo V5s fingerprint sensor placed on the front side. For your information, the Vivo V5s has taken a lot of inspiration from Apple, and the Antenna lines resemble with iPhone 7 while the rest of its all standard Vivo.

The CENTRiC A1 is powered by 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) processor which is paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone has 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Vivo V5S is powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor which is paired with Mali-T860MP2 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has 64GB of default storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
If one takes price difference into consideration, the CENTRiC A1 make for a better deal.

Operating system:
The CENTRiC A1 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system nearly stock Android while the Vivo V5s runs on an older Android 6.0 Marshmallow with FunTouch OS 3.0 UI on top of it.

Camera:
The CENTRiC A1 boasts 13MP rear camera with an LED flash support, and you have the option of selecting the quality of the image as well as the ISO level. The rear camera comes with features like auto face detection, red-eye reduction, HDR mode, professional mode and triaxial leveling. For the selfie lover, there’s an 8MP front camera with LED flash which means you can easily take stunning selfies even in low-light conditions.
Being selfie-centric smartphones, Vivo V5s boasts a 20-megapixel front-facing camera in Vivo’s signature “Moonlight” flash. Basically Moonlight flash help you to capture better photos in low-light conditions, in other words, it’s just a flash. At the back, the smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and LED flash.
Both the smartphone has high megapixel camera on the front & back, however, does it justify the actual performance? You will get some really good selfie images from the camera but don’t expect a flagship camera performance, especially when it comes to the rear camera.

Battery and connectivity:
The CENTRiC A1 packs 3000mAh battery and has support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The smartphone charges up to more than 50% in just 30 minutes, and users will get 3 hours of talk time with just 10 minutes of charging.
Vivo V5s is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, both the smartphones have Hybrid dual-SIM card support, 4G LTE with VoLTE HD voice calling, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. The CENTRiC A1 comes with ViLTE, & USB Type-C support while the Vivo V5s offer USB OTG support.
In terms of battery, things again seem to fall in CENTRiC A1’s court.

Final Verdict:
Both the smartphone have their strengths & weaknesses and there are subtle differences in the specifications & features of the two smartphones. If you don’t care about the higher megapixel count and much focused on having the newer Android experience along with a better display, processor, then CENTRiC A1 makes for a wiser choice. However, if you want more megapixels on the front then Vivo V5s is the option to opt.
