Canon India has launched the company’s latest high-end DSLR – Canon EOS 5D Mark IV in India at a starting price tag of Rs. 2,54,995 (US $3,499). The Canon 5D Mark IV body-only costs Rs. 2,54,995 US $3,499) and will be available across India in the second week of September. The Canon 5D Mark IV with 24-70mm f/4L IS II USM Standard Zoom cost Rs. 3,06,995 (US $4,399) while the camera with the 24-105mm F/4 IS II USM lens cost Rs. 3,24,995 (US $4,599 in the US) and will be available in October. Originally, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is the successor of the most popular Canon EOS 5D Mark III. The body is built from a magnesium alloy.

The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV features 3.2-inch fixed touch-enabled LCD display with 1.6 million-dot resolution and it is powered by DIGIC 6+ Image processor which offers enhanced noise processing algorithm suited for shooting in low-light scenes. It is equipped with 30.4-megapixel Full Frame high-sensitvity CMOS sensor, 150,000 pixels RGB+IR metering sensor and it has ISO range of 100-32000 expandable to 102400. It uses Canon’s propriety Dual Pixel CMOS AF with 61 AF points for rapid focusing and users can shoot 4K video at 30 fps with a resolutions of up to 4096 x 2160 pixels & at an aspect ratio of 17:9 which matches cinema scenes.
The camera claimed to deliver high-end full-frame performance & a better speed to capture great shots in both still & video formats. In addition to this, phase detected autofocus allows you to simply tap the display in live mode to switch focus when shooting still, above all it also ensures sharp focus & subject tracking.
The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV comes with connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC & USB 3.0. With NFC you can transfer images & MP4 movies to compatible mobile devices, as well remote shooting when using the Canon Camera Connect App. As said above, it comes with built-in GPS received with compass for precise geo-tagged information of latitude, longitude & elevation.
