In an event at New York, BlackBerry has launched the company’s latest smartphone – BlackBerry Classic at a price tag of US$449 / 349 GBP / 429 Euros in the US, UK and some European countries. Although, it is available for pre-order last month and now BlackBerry says that it will be available starting today through local carriers around the world. The unlocked version is available through BlackBerry and Amazon’s Online Stores.
On the specifications front, it features 3.5-inch touch screen display with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels at 294 ppi pixel density. It is powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM. It run on BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 and has 16GB in-built memory which can be expanded up to 128GB by using microSD card. Apart from BlackBerry World App Store, it comes with Amazon Appstore so that you can add Android apps directly.
On the imaging front, it has 8-megapixel auto-focus rear-camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, SlimPort, NFC, GPS + GLONASS.
It packs 2515mAh battery which offers 22 hours of mixed battery life.
BlackBerry Classic has 35-key QWERTY physical backlit keyboard with wider layout, larger sculpted keys & navigation keys.
