At the Zenfestival in India, Asus has launched the ZenPad 8.0 at a price tag of Rs. 14,999 and comes with Audio Cover starting Rs. 17,999. Originally, it is launched back at the Computex back in June and it comes in Black, White & Aurora Metallic colours.
On the specifications front, it features 8-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 MSM8929 processor which is paired with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Android 5.0 with Zen UI on top of it. it comes in two variant – 1GB RAM with 8GB in-built memory & other one is 2GB RAM with 16GB in-built memory, in-built memory can be expanded further by using microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 8-megapixel/5-megapixel auto-focus rear-camera with 1080 pixels and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
It has voice calling capability and connectivity features include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
It packs 4000mAh battery.
Asus is also launching the 4G version of tablet and it comes with voice calling capability. Above all, Asus is also launching a bundled Audio Cover which offers an immersive 5.1-channel surround sound.
