In an Z3nviolution event in India, Asus has announced the company’s next-generation notebook – Asus Transformer 3 Pro 2-in-1 PC at a price tag of Rs. 1,44,990. It comes in Gold colour & it is available from October 2016 onwards across all major commerce websites, Asus Exclusive Stores & leading retail series. Originally, it was launched at Computex in the month of May, 2016. The Asus Transformer 3 Pro bundled with Asus Transformer Cover Keyboard with backlit and provides laptop-grade 1.4mm key travel for a comfortable typing experience.
On the specifications front, it features 12.6-inch display with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 at 275ppi pixel density and a colour gamut of 121% sRGB for rich, vibrant colours. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and it is paired with 16GB of RAM. It runs on Windows operating system and has 1TB SSD storage.
It features 13-megapixel rear-camera and a front-facing camera with integration of Windows Hello for facial recognition, enables password free log in with just a quick glance.
On the connectivity front, it comes with USB Type-C 3.1 connector with peak transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps and a Thunderbolt 3 port with peak transfer rate of 40Gbps and support for dual external 4K UHD display. USB 3.0 and HDMI port.
The Transformer 3 Pro comes with Asus Pen that offers 1024 levels of precision for completely natural note taking & sketching experiences. The Asus Pen also supports annotation. Another accessory Asus Universal Dock hub provides full range connectivity ports including USB-C 3.1, USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA, RJ45 LAN, and a 3-in-1 SD card reader. ASUS Audio Pod is an entertainment accessory which comes with four powerful speakers to deliver amazing 360° virtual 5.1-channel surround sound and with rich, defined bass. ROG XG Station 2 is an external graphics card dock that gives ASUS Transformer 3 Pro desktop-grade graphics performance, turning it into a VR-ready gaming powerhouse.
The 2-in-1 is made up of aluminium is only 8.35mm thin and features diamond-cut detailing. It has an integrated metal kickstand with a stepless hinge that lets users set the device at differing viewing angle up to 170°. The Asus Transformer 3 Pro comes with dual front stereo speakers with audio by Harman Kardon.
