Earlier at an event in California last month, Apple introduced the iPhone Mini 4 and iPad Air Pro and now the tablet is available for purchase from online retailer Infibeam at a starting price tag of Rs. 28,900. The pricing are same when compared to last year iPad Mini 3. The Apple iPad Mini 4 comes in Silver, Gold and Space Grey colour and the Wi-Fi version costs Rs. 28,900 while the Wi-Fi + Cellular version costs Rs. 38,900. As of now, it is only available only from Infibeam but it is expected that, it will go on sale through authorized Apple retailers offline soon. As a promotional offer, you get a discount of 6% (upto Rs. 2000) only when you apply the “CARNIVAL6” promo code on the iPad Mini on Infibeam. According to Infibeam, the Wi-Fi version will ship in 2 to 3 days while the Wi-Fi + Cellular version will ship in 4 to 6 days.
On the specifications front, it features 7.9-inch Retina Display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels at 326 ppi and comes with Fingerprint-Resistant Oleophobic coating. It is powered by A8 chip with 2nd gen 64-bit architecture and M8 motion coprocessor. It comes with Touch ID fingerprint sensor and runs on iOS 9 operating system.
On the imaging front, it features 8-megapixel iSigh camera and 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi‑Fi (802.11a/b/g/n); dual channel (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and GLONASS.
It packs 5124mAh/19.1-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery with up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video or listening to music.
