Apple celebrates the life of late Nelson Mandela with a touching tribute and posted a picture of the late political leader to its homepage www.apple.com along with his birth and death dates. Apple has completely removed all product promotion from its homepage to pay tribute to the hero, RIP! Nelson Mandela.
Nelson Mandela, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 95 after battling a number of serious health problems. Apple pays a tribute to the world hero, like it did for the passing of company co-founder Steve Jobs. In past, Apple did pay tribute to few individuals on its official homepage. Apple has previously replaced its homepage to give tribute to Gregory Hines, George Harrison, Rosa Parks, board member Jerry York, and Steve Jobs.
