Acer Launches Iconia A1-713 Tablet With Voice Calling In India For Rs. 12,999

Acer has launched the company’s latest Android tablet in India – Acer Iconia A1-713 at an initial price tag of Rs. 12,999. Originally it was unveiled in New York back in April along with A1-713HD and comes in Silver color. It is quite lightweight for its size, weighs only 305 grams and it has thickness of 8.9mm. At this price range it will compete with Asus Fonepad 7, recently launched Digiflip Pro XT-712 and the Lenovo A7-50.

Announcing the launch, S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India said,

Over the last year, Internet access has received a huge boost and has changed the dynamics of the Indian tablet market significantly. Popularity of the Android ecosystem, coupled with affordable data tariffs and improved reach of service has driven the demand for tablet PCs in the country. Witnessing the growth in demand for this form factor, we introduced a device that offers the functionality of a laptop and the portability of smartphones – the Acer ICONIA A1-713 is an ideal device for customers looking to enjoy mobile entertainment.

It features 7-inch IPS display with resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels at 170ppi and it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8383 processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs on runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, upgradeable to Androd 4.4 KitKat and has 16GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 32GB via microSD card.

On the imaging front, it has 2MP rear-camera  and a VGA front-facing camera.

The device also has 3G support that can be used for making calls or using cellular data and connectivity features like Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0

It has 3400mAh battery and offers 6 hours of talk time.
