Motorola has announced the latest flagship smartphone in the DROID series – Motorola DROID Turbo for Verizon Wireless in the U.S. It will be available from October 30th at a price tag of $199 for 32GB, $249 for 64GB and $24.99/month on contract for 24 months. The 32GB version come in Metallic Black, Metallic Red & Ballistic Nylon while the 64GB version comes in Ballistic Nylon version. Full retail price of the smartphone is $599.99. It comes in Special edition black Ballistic Nylon with a light weight, high-strength aluminum design, Metallic Red, Metallic Black color variants have metalized glass fiber with a high-strength aluminum and Dupont Kevlar® back cover.
On the specifications front, it features 5.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor which is paired with 600 MHz Adreno 420 GPU & 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and has 32GB/64GB in-built memory.
On the imaging front, it features 21-megapixel rear-camera with dual LED flash, 4K video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
It has connectivity features like 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11a/g/b/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS, NFC.
It packs 3900mAh battery which offers 48 hours of battery life with mixed usage and charging the phone with Motorola Turbo Charger offers eight hours of power in a quick 15 minutes.
It comes with MinuteCast, it predicts down to the minute when it will rain, snow or hail based on your exact street address for the next two hours.
