ACT Fibernet Launches 1 Gbps Wired Broadband Internet Connection In India

In an event in Hyderabad, India, ACT Fibernet has launched the 1Gbps wired broadband internet service. According to the company, they are the first player in the Indian market to launch this service. For your information, ACT Fibernet is the India’s largest non-telco and 3rd largest Internet Service Provider. The ACT Fibernet 1Gbps wired broadband internet service cost Rs. 5,999 per month and comes with 1TB FUP. Sooner the service will be available in 11 cities.

ACT Fibernet has the best global fiber optic technology and they bring the world class experience with futuristic speeds to Indian consumers. The average internet speeds in India is 2.5Mbps and with the launch of 1Gbps wired broadband service, the internet speeds increase to 400x. As of now, only a few cities across the world are Giga enabled and the Giga speed will allow downloads from the internet faster than transferring data from a USB drive.

Talking about the market share, ACT Fibernet has 65% market share in Hyderabad and Secunderabad and growing strongly. They are the speed pioneer in the broadband industry and with this launch, they will provide internet connections at high speeds.

Globally, India is the second largest market in terms of internet connectivity and it reaches to over 400 million people. With the government constant and fervent efforts, the internet penetration will reach to over 600 million users by 2020. In addition to this, the government’s recent announcement will boost high-speed broadband via optic Fiber to 1,50,000 gram Panchayats, contributing to country’s digital growth.
