Samsung has officially launched the company’s latest smartphone – Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime (SM-G610F) in India at a price tag of Rs. 17,890. It comes in Gold & Black colour and it is available on Samsung retail stores & Samsung online shop. Originally, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime was launched in Vietnam and it is the upgraded variant of the Galaxy J7 (2016). It has full-metal unibody design and fingerprint sensor which is embedded into home button. At such a price point, it will compete with Gionee S6s and OPPO F1S smartphone. It comes with Vodafone bundled data offer where users have to pay for 1GB of data and they get 9GB of data free for three months.

On the specifications front, it features 5.5-inch Full HD TFT display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 1.6GHz Octa-Core Exynos processor which is paired with 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has 16GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, it features 13MP rear-camera with LED flash and 8MP front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.

It has dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.
It packs 3300mAh battery which offers up to 21 hours of talktime and up to 12 hours of internet usage. Samsung has also included an Ultra Power Saving Mode which basically turns off all background running apps to minimize the battery consumption.
Samsung introduced the S Power Planning and S Secure feature with this smartphone. The S Power Planning feature has three modes – Reserve battery for calls, which enables the user to reserve certain percentage of the battery for calls & messages, Extend Battery time allows user to extend the usage time of the phone upto twice the current available time and Forward calls when no battery mode allow user to forward the calls to a selected contact or any number when the phone runs out of battery.
Samsung S Power Planning Feature
The S Secure feature addresses the user concerns on security & privacy and it has three features – Lock and hide apps which allows users to hide or lock applications, Secure Folder where user can stores files for increased privacy & security and Secure Wi-Fi where user browse without worrying about anything on a public Wi-Fi by encrypting data which is being transferred.
