Coolpad has launched the company’s latest smartphone in the Note series – Coolpad Note 5 in India at a price tag of Rs. 10,999. It comes in Royal Gold & Space Grey colour and it will be available exclusively on Amazon.in starting from October 18th, 2016 via open sale. It has unibody metal design and fingerprint sensor on the back which unlocks the phone in 0.5 seconds. It also supports gesture shortcuts, as well as support for both left and right hand input.

On the specifications front, it features 5.5-inch Full HD fully laminated display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it comes with scratch-resistant glass for protection. It is powered by 1.5GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor which is paired with Adreno 405 GPU & 4GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with Cool UI 8.0 on top of it and it has 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 64GB via microSD card.

On the photography front, Coolpad Note 5 features 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, 5P lens, f/2.2 aperture, CMOS sensor, 1080p video recording and 8MP front-facing camera, f/2.2 aperture, 80.1-degree wide-angle lens, LED flash for selfie & video-calling.

It has Hybrid-Dual Sim card slot and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG.
It packs 4010mAh battery that promises up to 14 hours of talk time and up to 350 hours standby. The battery also supports Quick Charge.
The Coolpad Note 5 comes with Dual Space system, which we first saw on the Coolpad Max, and it enable users to have two accounts of WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, and other apps on the same phone. In addition to this, a Multi-Screen feature is also touted, as of now there is not much clarity on this.
The Coolpad Note 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor which is a bit downer when we compare it with the smartphone like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. At such a price tag, it will compete with smartphone like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Lenovo Vibe K5 Note and few more.
