The domestic handset maker, Priyanka Communications under CENTRiC Brand has launched the company’s latest affordable smartphone – CENTRiC L3 in India for Rs. 6,749. The latest smartphone is targeted towards first-time smartphone users. The smartphone comes in two colors – Quartz Grey & Raising Black, and being the affordable smartphone, it doesn’t compromise on the essentials, comes with a fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE support, HD display, Android 7.0 Nougat, etc. The smartphone looks quite good on paper and lets to see how it works in real life.
The CENTRiC L3 is compact and offers solid feel when you hold it in hands. The polycarbonate body, curved edges, ultra-narrow bezels, glossy finish, make up for good ergonomics.

On the right side, there is a volume rocker and textured power key while there is nothing on the left side. On the top, there is a micro USB port & headphone jack while the stereo speaker sits at the bottom. On the back side, there are antenna lines painted on the top & bottom and CENTRiC branding.
The CENTRiC L3 has a plastic back cover with the semi-glossy finish is removable and removing the cover gives access to dual SIM card slots, dedicated microSD card slot, and 3050mAh battery.
The best is yet to come, the company bundles all the necessary accessories like an earphone, 1.5A charger, screen guard and a clear protective case, irrespective of the product pricing.
On the front, the CENTRiC L3 features 5-inch IPS HD OnCell display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and the display is protected by 2.5D curved glass. The display offers an immersive viewing experience while watching the video and it’s without stressing your eyes. Apart from this, the display is bright enough, text looks sharp and offers great legibility in most lighting conditions. The touch response and the latency of the display are decent too.
To protect the display from scratches the company already applied the screen protector and the fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. The fingerprint sensor is accurate and according to company claims it unlocks your phone in just 0.12 seconds. There are on-screen keys for navigation.
On the performance side, the CENTRiC L3 is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 processor which is paired with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU & 2GB of RAM. The combination ensures that there should be no lag and you can run multiple apps simultaneously and you can play high-end graphics game without any frame drops. The smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage out of which the free space available for the user is around 10.7GB, and it can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, the UI is near stock. There is no bloatware and few useful apps are there like Google apps suite, few Microsoft apps, and third-party apps like Swiftkey and Top Doctors Online. Apart from useful apps, there are software customizations too like HotKnot, DuraSpeed, System Motion, and Wakeup Gesture. During my usage, navigating across the UI is fluid, and clutterless.
The smartphone features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and LED flash. There are a lot of options available in camera app settings where you can find shooting modes like HDR, Panorama, and Face beauty. The images clicked during the daytime comes out fairly good and you can find a good amount of details with decent color reproduction while the images clicked indoor has little bit noise but still they are good & can be posted on Instagram. For selfie lovers, there is a 5MP front camera for selfie & video-calling.
The CENTRiC L3 has dual-SIM support with dual standby and the call quality is quite good & clear. During my usage, I didn’t find any call drops issue on this smartphone. The smartphone comes with connectivity features like 4G, VoLTE & ViLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG. The sensors onboard are a proximity sensor, light sensor, and accelerometer.
The CENTRiC L3 packs 3050mAh battery and with moderate usage, it lasts for a whole day. The smartphone has 8 days of standby time.
For all its specs and attractive looks, the CENTRiC L3 smartphone is an all-around package and has got something for everyone, be it entertainment, photography, etc.
