Zuk has launched the company’s latest smartphone ZUK Z1 in China last week and at the launch the company said that ZUK Z! runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with ZUI on top of it. Now, the company has officially announced that it has partnered with Cyanogen for the international version of the ZUK Z1 and it will run on the latest Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is made up of aircraft-grade aluminium metal frame.
If you do not know, ZUK is a Lenovo-backed startup. On the specifications front, it features 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 Soc processor which is paired with 3GB LPPDR3 RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 with Cyanogen OS 12.1 on top of it and has 64GB in-built memory.
On the imaging front, it features 13-megapixel rear-camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has 4G LTE support and connectivity features like 4G LTE/3G HSPA+ Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. USB 3.0 Type-C port offer up to 10 times faster data transfer compared to USB 2.0.
According the company, the international launch press conference of ZUK Z1 is scheduled for 21th August in Shenzhen. Vikram Natarajan, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships and Distribution for Cyanogen will attend the conference to further strengthen the cooperation between the two parties.
